TRINITY – there is one God, co-existent, co-equal and co-eternal in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19)
FATHER – The first person of the Trinity orders and directs all things according to His own purpose and pleasure. He authored, Created, and sustains all things in the universe without any means other than HIs own pure nature and power. By HIs grace, He involves HImself in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayers, and saves from sin and death all that come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Matthew 6:9, Ephesians 1:3, John 5:19)
JESUS CHRIST – the second person of the Trinity. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless human life, performed miracles, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate HIs power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday in power and glory. (John 1:14, Colossians 2:9, Acts 2:33, Colossians 1:16)
HOLY SPIRIT – the third person of the Trinity. He convicts men of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, instructs, and sets apart believers unto a holy life. He empowers every believer with spiritual gifts for victorious living and ministry. (Titus 3:5, Acts 1:8, 1-Corinthians 3:16)
BIBLE – the Bible is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. It is authoritative Word of God, and in its original writing, it is inspired, infallible, and inerrant. (2-Timothy 3:16, 2-Peter 1:20-21, Proverbs 30:5, Romans 16:25-26)
MAN – mankind was created in God’s image. Man voluntarily fell into sin by personal disobedience to the will of God; as a result, all people are spiritually dead apart from Jesus Christ. The result of the fall of mankind spread to all men, each of whom is now born with a sinful nature and is in need of salvation. (Ephesians 2:1, Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23-34)
SALVATION – we can never make up for our sin by self-improvement of good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6, Titus 2:11)
CHURCH – the church is the body of believers consisting of all born-again persons without respect to race, culture, age or background. Directed by Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, the church is taking the Good News of salvation to the whole world. Our fellowship is inclusive rather than exclusive and stresses love for God and one another, the unity of all believers, and obedience to the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-21, Ephesians 3:10)
ETERNITY – People were created to exist forever. WE will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real Places of Eternal Existence. (John 3:16, Romans 6:23, Relevation 20:15, 1-Corinthians 2:7-9)
“In essentials, unity, In non-essentials, libery. In all things, charity.”
